The official Dubai Fashion Week, which kicked off in March 2023 with an intimate event was attended by dignitaries, government officials, fashion and cultural media, to become the region’s defining fashion event.

Lili Blanc presented her “Flamme femme” collection at the Dubai Fashion Week on the heels of her Paris Fashion Week show, which was part of a partnership between the Fashion Council of the Arab Republic of Jordan and the Federation de la Haute couture Et de la Mode.

Glamorous crystals glimmered on elegantly tailored suits, voluminous capes and evening gowns, as well as a vast array of pre-wear options from skirts, flares and fitted trousers to jumpsuits, making this collection an all-in-one collection. Refreshing color tones of golden, burgundy, purple and denim were employed in addition to the usual whites, blacks, greens and denim, departing from the typical Lili Blanc palette.

The modern application of the Macrame technique enhanced the texture and quality of the garments. The complex weaving method, which has been utilized for centuries, provided the garments with a distinctive texture and depth of expression. This fusion of sustainable materials and high-quality craftsmanship enabled each garment in the collection to be truly unique.

Dubai-based label LILO brings a unique touch to this year’s collection, utilizing luxurious chiffon, satin, pleather, denim, and other unexpected materials in a variety of design techniques while preserving the brand’s distinct identity.

Artistic piping was always a part of the brand’s original concept, used to create exaggerated structures and fun shapes, and to create big, intricate braids in the design process, always with bright colors that light up the runway and emphasize the futuristic, yet playful, and feminine look.

BLSSD, presented its latest collection, drawing inspiration from the provocative question, “What are You Not?”. The collection features a unique blend of fabrics, such as vegan leather and denim, as well as taffeta and mesh, to reflect the label’s street-savvy style.

BLSSD’s signature monochrome palette was enriched with pastel shades of lavender and a hint of mint, adding a feminine touch to the collection, which balances bold, attitude-driven streetwear with a refined, modern urban aesthetic.

The brand’s signature tulle skirts, which are soft and transparent, have been reimagined with bold street-inspired graphics, which have added a new dimension to the brand’s design. Additionally, we have seen BLSSD’s innovative use of stenciled fringe, which is both dynamic and adaptable, with a variety of silhouettes and textural combinations.

Dubai Fashion Week (DFW) witnessed the highest popularity amongst all the fashion shows in Dubai and with all runway shows and events saw a full house each night, with buyers and designers from the major global fashion capitals out in full force.

This global event is supported by Dubai Design District (d3), a member of TECOM Group PJSC, and the Arab Fashion Council, the most popular in many years.
