Black Widow

There I was trapped in the spider’s parlor

Entangled in her web stuck fast it seemed

Mesmerized by her eyes unable to break free

Waiting to be devoured in a hopeless net

Frantically twitching and jerking despairingly

All my wits exhausted no way out do I see

When I first was invited in

It was like a dream come  true

So innocent too like a spot of tea

I was so happy to be paralyzed by her charm

Excited and so careless was I

None was more beautiful then she

But this beautiful creature was full of venom

And a bite full of hateful  regret

She took everything in life from me
